IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT WE--AS RESIDENTS OF CURRITUCK COUNTY --- IN THE SUMMER WE CAN'T ENJOY FISHING BECAUSE OF TOURISTS...BUT IF YOU TAKE AWAY THE LAST BIT OF NON-COMMERCIAL,WHERE COULD WE GO THEN...IN THE SUMMER WE CAN TAKE OUR KIDS,DRIVE OUT AND LET THEM ENJOY THE BEACH...LOOK HOW LITTLE THE BEACH HAS GOTTEN SINCE THE GATES MOVED FROM SANDERLIN!
COUNTY HEAR YOUR RESIDENTS VOICE AND SAVE OUR REMAINING NON COMMERCIAL BEACH!

It is the ONLY place left for the locals to get away. The rest of the outer banks has been built for tourist, Leave us this one small area ! If you take this from us, where will us locals take our familys for a weekend trip when we can't go to any of our own beaches anymore.
Much of the northern outer banks has been spoiled by poorly planned development and the influence of developers has gotten out of control. This area is not off limits to human settlement, it is a great pattern of low-impact development that is quite compatible with the local wildlife and compliments the False Cape State Park located in Virginia to the north. Preserve this last settled rural outpost of the outer banks.
This proposal, and its predecessor, fly in the face of reason. It is folly to pursue plans which are in contradiction to the voices of the Planning and Zoning Departments, in violation of the recently adopted Land Use Plan, in opposition to the will of the people who live and/or own property there, ignore the recent CAMA flood maps, and destroy state, national and county stewardship of a unique area so keenly important to nature and wildlife.
We live in Moyock and enjoy visiting the northern beaches. Commercial development will ruin our family's getaway -- Is one rich land owner more important that all the people that live here? hope our commissioners here what the people are saying.
DON'T RUIN OUR BEACH!!! NO TO COMMERCIAL
Most of us that come here, either to live or to vacation, choose here because of the non-comercialization. where else on the east coast can you find 10 miles of beach so unspoiled.
We have only lived in Currituck County for a little over a year, but we feel a part of this beautiful area and we are opposed to any commercial zoning in the RO2 area.
I hope and trust that the Board of Commissioners will deny this insane, fat cat, greed based request. This will only benefit one wealthy land owner and his family. It will not benefit the community or people in Currituck.
I am a life long resident of Currituck and know that the tax paying citizens of this county will stand behind the county commissioners in SAYING NO to this request!
We thank the current commissioners and the incoming commissioners in advance for a NO VOTE for commercialization in the 4x4 area.
This is one of last frontiers of the USA. Have we done enough dammage through out the rest of the country? We are residents of currituck -- please listen to us and save our asset.
